Staged in Berlin’s Tiergarten, a production of the Berliner Festspiele for the 750th anniversary in Berlin 1987, idea, concept and paintings, Barbara Nemitz, vocals: singers of the Berliner Sängerbund, conductor: Marek Bobéth, choreographic support: Otto Sander
The work is performed in a spacious landscape garden in the dark of night. Large transparent black paintings hang in the clearings shining through the dark. Fires burn behind every painting. At the same time, fragments of songs from evening songs can be heard. Lone singers stroll through the nocturnal garden.
